In this Policy, Match by Alla FZE is referred to as the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, protect, transfer, and delete personal data in connection with our website, matchmaking services, Dating Day events, communications, applications, registrations, and related services.
This Policy is implemented in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding the Protection of Personal Data (the “UAE PDPL”) and UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 44 of 2021 establishing the UAE Data Office. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the Company will generally act as a data controller in relation to personal data submitted to us.
This Policy applies to website visitors, people who contact us through WhatsApp, Instagram, email, phone, forms, or social media, Dating Day event registrants and attendees, Match by Alla matchmaking clients, candidates and prospective clients, and vendors, venues, partners, contractors, and service providers whose personal data we process.
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: contact details such as name, email address, phone number, and social media contact where provided; event registration and check-in information such as booking, email confirmation, attendance, and event communications; matchmaking profile information such as preferences, lifestyle information, relationship goals, photos, partner criteria, and information voluntarily provided during the matchmaking process; payment and transaction records; communication records through WhatsApp, Instagram, email, phone, consultation notes, feedback, and service-related messages; and website or technical information such as cookies, analytics data, device information, browser type, website activity, and form submissions.
We may process sensitive or private information where it is voluntarily provided and where it is necessary or appropriate for the services, safety, compliance, or another lawful purpose. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain express consent.
We process personal data to provide matchmaking, introduction, event, communication, payment, and related services; review enquiries, applications, bookings, and registrations; manage Dating Day event registration, check-in, guest lists, event access, event safety, and event communications; create and update matchmaking profiles and compatibility preferences; identify, assess, screen, and facilitate suitable introductions; communicate with clients, candidates, event attendees, vendors, venues, and service providers; process payments, invoices, receipts, and related financial records; manage feedback, complaints, disputes, safety matters, and service quality; send updates, invitations, and marketing communications where permitted by law; comply with legal, accounting, tax, audit, regulatory, and internal compliance obligations; and protect the safety, rights, property, and legitimate interests of the Company, our clients, candidates, attendees, team members, and partners.
We may collect personal data directly from you through forms, applications, questionnaires, calls, messages, meetings, agreements, consent forms, booking forms, and payment forms; through our website, landing pages, CRM systems, event registration tools, payment tools, cookies, and analytics tools; through WhatsApp, Instagram, email, phone, SMS, social media, and other communication channels; during Dating Day events, including registration, check-in, guest list management, event communications, feedback, photography, and videography; and from third parties where lawful and relevant, including venues, payment providers, photographers, videographers, professional advisers, service providers, legal authorities, and external matchmaking partners.
We may share personal data where reasonably necessary, lawful, and connected to our services, events, business operations, compliance obligations, safety, or protection of rights. This may include sharing with our employees, assistants, consultants, contractors, professional advisers, payment providers, IT providers, CRM providers, website providers, email tools, booking platforms, communication tools, venues, event hosts, photographers, videographers, editors, event service providers, legal or regulatory authorities, and selected external matchmaking partners.
Where we share personal data, photos, profile information, preferences, or descriptive information with selected external matchmaking partners, we do so only for matchmaking purposes and only where the individual has provided prior explicit written consent, including through the signed client consent form or another explicit written consent mechanism. No separate confirmation is required for each partner share once such consent has been provided, unless we expressly agree otherwise with the client.
We require external matchmaking partners to comply with confidentiality and data protection obligations and not to disclose, publish, sell, or use personal data for any unrelated purpose. Consent to sharing data with external matchmaking partners may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal does not affect lawful sharing or processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Photography and videography may take place at Dating Day events, private events, public events, and related activities. We use a three-track approach.
General event documentation means crowd shots, atmosphere shots, venue shots, group shots, event recaps, and other content where a person may appear as one of many attendees and is not the main focus. General event documentation may be used for internal records, event documentation, website content, social media, event recaps, event communications, and general promotional materials where notice has been given through ticket terms, event communications, venue signage, or other reasonable notice.
Individual promotional media means close-up photos, posed photos, interviews, testimonials, named content, advertising content, or any image or video where one person is clearly the focus. We do not use this type of content for promotional, marketing, social media, website, advertising, testimonial, or public communication purposes without that person’s separate explicit written consent.
Private matchmaking materials means photos, videos, profile images, and other visual materials provided for private matchmaking services. These materials are used only for matchmaking services unless the individual gives separate explicit consent for promotional or public use.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed at an event, you should notify our team before or at the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request, but we cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental background, crowd, group, or atmosphere footage. Where media use is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect lawful use carried out before withdrawal, but we will take reasonable steps to stop future use where required by applicable law.
We treat event registration, event attendance, matchmaking participation, candidate status, client status, introductions, consultations, and use of our services as confidential personal data.
We do not disclose, confirm, or deny whether any specific person is a client, has attended an event, has registered for an event, has participated in matchmaking, or has used any of our services, unless the person has given prior explicit consent or disclosure is required by law, necessary for safety, necessary for service delivery, or necessary to protect rights or legitimate interests.
We may send service updates, event invitations, newsletters, promotional materials, and marketing communications where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending service-related, transactional, legal, safety, or administrative messages where necessary.

Some of our service providers, systems, platforms, partners, or operational tools may be located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we take reasonable steps to protect it, including confidentiality obligations, contractual protections, access restrictions, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature and purpose of the transfer.
We do not keep personal data indefinitely. We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including service provision, event administration, business records, legal compliance, accounting, audit, dispute resolution, safety, security, fraud prevention, and protection of the Company’s legitimate interests.
Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, personal data is generally deleted or anonymized within five years after the end of the relevant business relationship, event participation, or service interaction, subject to applicable retention requirements, legal obligations, dispute resolution, safety, security, fraud prevention, and other lawful grounds to retain the data.
We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, improper use, disclosure, alteration, loss, destruction, or accidental damage. These measures may include access controls, confidentiality obligations, password protection, secure storage, limited access on a need-to-know basis, staff awareness, and contractual obligations with relevant service providers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect personal data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where legally required, we will notify affected individuals and/or relevant authorities of a personal data breach.
Subject to applicable law, individuals may have the right to access information about what personal data is being processed and how it is being processed; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data; request deletion of personal data in certain circumstances; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; object to, restrict, suspend, or stop certain processing activities; request transfer of personal data in a machine-readable format where applicable; and contact us with questions, concerns, or complaints about the processing of personal data.
We may need to verify the identity of the person making the request before responding. We may refuse or limit a request where permitted by law, including where the request conflicts with legal obligations, business records, dispute resolution, safety, security, or protection of rights.
Our website, social media pages, event pages, payment tools, ticketing platforms, or communications may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party websites, platforms, or service providers that we do not control. Individuals should review the privacy policies of those third parties before providing personal data to them.
We may update this Policy from time to time where reasonably necessary, including for legal, regulatory, operational, security, or business reasons. The current version of this Policy applies from the date it is made available on our website or otherwise communicated.
